Selecting "Production" in the main menu will open the "Production" page.

The "Up Next" tab shows Production Batches currently in production. The current stage of production for any batch is clearly indicated with colour coding for easy identification.

The "Completed" tab shows any completed batches. 

 

Adding a Production Batch

To create a Production Batch select "Production" from the main menu. The "Production Batches" list will appear. Click "Add +" in the top right corner. The"Add Production Batch" form will show.


Complete the fields as follows:

  • Product* [required] - The product you would like to produce. Select from your list of products in the drop-down. For our example below we will be selecting "OMCC101 - Only Mine - Classic Collection - 10 Pack 120g x unit".



    After the product is selected, additional fields will appear. See below.

  • Production Date* [required] - The date the first stage of production will commence. Clicking this field will bring up a calendar where you can select the month, year and day.



  • Production Location* [required] - The location where the product is being produced and will be subsequently stored in inventory on completion. Select from your list of location(s) from the drop-down.



  • Assigned To - The user(s) this production run associated to. Select from your list of users in the drop-down.

  • Batch Code* [required] - The batch code for this batch. Will be auto generated based on your settings. 

  • Best Before/Use By - The expiry date for this batch. Clicking this field will bring up a calendar where you can select the month, year and day. Will be pre-filled based on the production date. Press the "X" to remove. 



  • Batch Qty - The quantity of batches to produce in this run.The expected yield will be automatically updated based on your selection. 

  • Expected Yield - The expected yield for this batch. The batch qty will be automatically updated based on your selection. 

  • Total Size - The total size of this batch. This field cannot be edited.

  • Total Cost - The total cost to produce this batch. This field cannot be edited.

  • Current Stage* [required] - The current stage that this batch is at in production. Select from the drop-down. It is recommended not to change this value. 



  • Notes - Any notes you wish to make about this batch.

 

 

Save

Click "SAVE" to apply your settings and add this batch. The batch will now appear in the "Production Batches" list. 

 

Production Batch Details

Clicking on any product in the "Production Batches" list will bring up the batch ready to perform the next stage. 


Recipe

The recipe shows you all the items required for the stage.

In this example the items required are a selection of bonbons. If you were producing the single bonbons rather than a mixed box, the recipe would be the ingredients used to produce them.

 You can manually assign batches you are using for the production batch or choose to auto assign batches.

"Auto Assign Batches" will automatically assign batches to the order on a first in first out (FIFO) basis. You can also configure batches to always be automatically assigned to a batch in your production settings. 


"Stage" Instructions

The instructions to complete this stage of the production batch, where "Stage" will vary depending on whatever stage production is at. In this example it is "Packaging" so would say "Packaging Instructions".


Labour Tracking 

Tracking time spent on this stage of production. 

  • User - Select the user from the drop-down. Click "Add User" to add an additional user.

  • Time - Clicking the stop watch on the right will start the timer. Click again to stop. You can manually enter the time if you don't wish to use the timer or are on a shared device. The field are in "H:MM:SS".


Production Yield

The yield achieved versus expected in this production run.

  • Actual Yield - The actually yield from this production run. Will be set as the expected yield until updated.

  • Expected Yield - The expected number to be produced in this production run. This field cannot be edited.

Production Fields & Notes

View & update field and notes information for this production batch. This includes any custom fields you have configured in your production settings as well as a free form field for entering any notes. 

 

Finalise Stage

Click "FINALISE STAGE" if this current stage of production is complete. Any inventory batches used in that stage will be consumed after finalising. The production batch will either tagged for the next stage of production or, if this was the final stage of production, it marked as completed and moved to the Completed list. Completed batches will be added to inventory ready to sell or consume.  

You will be asked to confirm.

If there are and steps you have missed, such as, assigning batches or tracking labour, you will receive a warning about these after clicking "FINALISE STAGE".



Click "Save Changes" to save any changes made without finalising the stage.

Additional Options

After selecting a product in the "Production Batches" list, clicking on the 3 dot on the right of the page will bring up an additional menu.

  • Save Stage - Will save the current stage.

  • Finalise Stage - Will finalise the current stage. The production batch will either tagged with the next stage of production or, if this was the final stage of production, it marked as completed and moved to the Completed list.

  • Edit Production - Allows you to edit the production batch. See below for full details.

  • Print Label - Enables you to print the label for this product if you have a template set up for it. See How to Create a Template for more details.


    • Template* [required] - Select the template to use to generate the label for this product from the drop-down.
    • Batch - Select the batch code from the drop-down to print on the labels.
    • Copies* [required] - Enter the number of labels to print.

  • Customisation - Whether or not to include additional details on the label. None will print just the product name and barcode. Price will have the product name, price and barcode. Custom text will allow you to include your own text along with the product name and barcode.

    • Font* [required] - The font you would like to use in this customisation.
    • Barcode - Whether or not to include a barcode on the label. If including which barcode type would you like to use and include.
    • Logo - The label to use for printing. Only applies to templates with utilise the logo_image.
    • Custom Text - Custom text to include on the label. Max length 20 characters. Only to applies to templates which utilise custom text.

  • Remove Production - Will remove the production batch. You will be asked to confirm.

Editing Production Batches

Select the product in the "Production Batches" list, click on the 3 dot on the right of the page, and select "Edit Production". The "Edit Production Batch" page will show.

Edit any fields required in the same way as Adding a Production Batch above. Click "SAVE" to apply any changes.
